ALESSI (9097) Michael Graves Sugar Bowl- Pale Gold
Michael Graves describes himself as a 'general practitioner' of modern design. A Harvard graduate and Princeton University professor, he would go on to teach at the American Acadamy in Rome. During this time, Graves soaked up plenty of Italian design ethos; the Tuscan landscape inspired his design palette which includes his signature blues, reds and ochers. His architectural works include the Portland Building and the Humana Building, the extension of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Newark Museum. Graves created the best-selling 9093 kettle for Alessi in 1985.
