HOTCHKISS MOBILES Stream
A simple yet striking composition of Dacron and steel. This design, with long spikes of horizontal color is one of the larger designs that's available in Dacron fabric. The vanes are connected at fixed balance points and align themselves to each other. The mobile as a whole can revolve 360 degrees, yet each arm follows the next in a faceted manner, staying within 45 degrees of the other vanes.
Joel Hotchkiss has been designing contemporary kinetic art and mobiles since 1976. His work has been sold in numerous museum stores including the Guggenheim, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. (recommended for indoor use only)
