VITRA Ceramic Clocks

The most striking features of the Ceramic Collection are their light-hearted character and their sculptural appearance. The coloration of the ceramic clock housing and especially the design of the faces draw attention to their modern design. Conceived at the start of the 1950s and further developed to a stage where they were ready for production, the ceramic clocks never entered series production for unexplained reasons. Using the original plans and received prototypes, the Vitra Design Museum is able to offer these original clocks (now fitted with a quartz movement,) for the first time.
