'Feather' is a carefully delineated kinetic mobile with contoured metal shapes that float delicately in random formations. Beautifully balanced, the copper is brushed and lacquered. Free hanging, the reflections that bounce off the curved metal vanes add to the feathery, lofty sensation; each arm and vane moves independantly from the others. Arrives fully assembled and ready to hang. Joel Hotchkiss has been designing contemporary kinetic art and mobiles since 1976. His work has been sold in numerous museum stores including the Guggenheim, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago.
