Located on the shores of Lake Orta, Alessi has established itself as the 'factory of Italian design'. Founded in the 20's, today they pride themselves in the art of household objects manufactured with stainless steel. Florence-born architect and designer Elana Danti holds a Masters in Jewelry Design and lectures in Interior Architecture at the University of Florence. Her work divides between industrial design and planning display spaces for art and design exhibitions, most notably the "TUSCAN.Y." project, involving organizing the spaces in New York's Altman Building Gallery.
