ALESSI Nest Fruit Holder

Alessi's collaboration with the young Turkish designer Koz Defne started in the early Nineties, when he entered the initial elimination round of the "Memory Containers" operation . This new project takes up the Alessi tradition of processing steel wire (as for example in the baskets and citrus-fruit stands of the 40's and 50's) in which no designer, despite numerous attempts during the following decades, had ever been able to propose projects of high quality and of commercial interest. The delicately ethnic formal language and a clear decorative element of the Nest Fruit Holder would suggest it is destined to occupy a privileged position in the Alessi archives.
