This large centerpiece by Alice Abi, revisits a theme already addressed in Italian design: that of the sheet steel, first cut flat, then bent and welded to achieve its final form. It recalls the basket designed by Bruno Munari for Danese in the '50s, and the experiments of Silvio Coppola for Alessi in the early '70s, but done with such new grace and freshness as to merit another run of production.
