Max is an oversized floor lamp, based on the traditional spring balanced desk lamp. The Max Lamp can be set in an infinite number of positions using high tension steel springs. When fully extended, Max has a reach 114 inches. The shade diameter is 20 inches, and the base diameter is 22 inches. Max Lamp is manufactured entirely in England using small-batch production then hand assembled. It comes fitted with a floor dimmer switch and a 150 watt bulb. Despite its size Max is easily shipped internationally and requires only basic assembly upon receipt. The Max Lamp is manufactured from mild steel and spun aluminum. Available in four finishes, the black, red and white versions are powder coated; there is also a highly polished steel and aluminum version.
