Bertjan Pot, 2005 

 

Bertjan Pot attended the Design Academy at Eindhoven in the Netherlands. One year after graduating, he co-founded the design studio Monkey Boys. Between 1999 and 2003, he and partner Daniel White designed packaging, graphics, furniture, fabric, lighting, and theater sets for various clients; some of the products were selected for exclusive collections, including those by Moooi, Goods, and Leitmotiv. The Random Light is created with epoxy and resin drained yarn; these components are randomly coiled around an inflatable mold, creating a translucent 3 dimensional fabric.
