MODERNICA Bubble Lamp Wall Sconce- Pear
The Bubble Lamp features architect George Nelson's fresh solution to
lighting design. First manufactured in 1952 by the Howard Miller
Company, this design was created by spray-coating a skeleton of steel
wire with a layer of translucent plastic, which cuts glare and allows
the light to shine softly through. Featured in the permanent collection
of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. California company Modernica
is faithfully reproducing the bubble lamps to exact specifications,
using much of the original factory tooling. The Bubble Lamp Sconce includes a 2" thick walnut wall
mount, a brushed nickel arm that extends approximately 20", and an
adjustable plug-in cord with counterweight. 150W max UL rated.
