The original Pistello's sell for thousands in the finest international auction houses; this design won an award at the "La Lampada Più" contest of 1975 at the XII Salon of Domestic Arts. The original design was created in 1969 for Valenti, an Italian Studio. Pistillo is one of the icons of contemporary design and is striking even when not illuminated. A spectrum of light is emitted from the half chromed bulb in the center, and is spread up and sideways by the reflective mirrored tentacles. The Spazia Pistillo can be used as a ceiling fixture, wall sconce or table lamp. Chrome plate plastic construction
