Coming from a family of designers, the work of Venezuelan-born Pablo Pardo is deceptively simple, often made from no more than a couple of materials, beautifully crafted and devoid of superfluous details. Once in use, however, Pablo’s lamps take on a new character that is much more tangential than simply visual. It is the experience rather than the look of an object that Pablo seeks in his designs. Bel Occhio is both a multi-position spot light and table lamp combined. The spherical acrylic shell is gently cradled in its base allowing infinite adjustment with a touch of the hand. It's clear spherical shade also diffuses ambient light, and in a darkened room the Bel Occhio is modern design at its best, and beauty in the eye of the beholder.
