The company Martinelli Luce was founded by Elio Martinelli in the 1950's in Lucca, Italy as an outlet for his creative talent. Located in the city center, it was here that lamps which have become design legends, such as the Serpente, the Cobra, and the Pipistrello and many others, were conceived and subsequently manufactured. Martinelli Luce has been responsible for many prestige projects in shopping centres, museums, stores and hotels, both in Italy and abroad. The Pipistrello was designed by Italian designer Gae Aulenti in 1966.  It's telescopic stem allows it to adjust between 26" to 34"H.  Components: white opal methacrylate diffuser, stainless steel telescope, lacquered base and white, or dark brown.
