MODERNICA Case Study 220 Unit
The CS 220 Unit was created for a competition held in 1948 sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design was motivated by the urgent need in the Post-war period for inexpensive housing and furnishing design adaptable to small housing units. The concept behind the products was that mass-produced, standardized parts could be combined in different ways to meet the unique needs of each customer. The CS 220 Unit includes perforated, taupe and white rear panels, white and grey side panels, as well as a set of embossed dimple doors. The wood is finished in Classic stain with zinc hardware.
Size: 32.5"H x 47"L x 16"D
