MODERNICA Case Study 420 Unit
The CS 420 Unit was created for a competition held in 1948 sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design was motivated by the urgent need in the Post-war period for inexpensive housing and furnishing design adaptable to small housing units. The concept behind the products was that mass-produced, standardized parts could be combined in different ways to meet the unique needs of each customer. The CS 420 Unit includes 2 x perforated, white and grey rear panels, white, grey, black and taupe side panels, as well as a set of embossed dimple doors. The wood is finished in Classic stain with zinc hardware.
Size: 58.5"H x 47"L x 16"D
