MODERNICA Cloud Couch- Medium

Designed in the late forties, Vladimir Kagan created this seating concept to assist with his client's need for hanging large art pieces with uninterrupted wall space — essentially he created this idea of a “floating island.”  Since 1993, Modernica has been building the Cloud; this series is handcrafted by master builders, and each piece is painstakingly upholstered. The elaborate process uses only the finest hardwoods for the frame. Each individual steel spring is hand-tied and sewn into a base of canvas webbing. The springs are slightly depressed and covered with successive layers of burlap, cotton padding and fabric. The cushions are made from high-density foam and cotton.  One must truly sit on the Cloud to appreciate its exceptional comfort, solid construction and firm cushioned support.
