Tipi was designed by the iconic designer Eero Aarnio in 2002. In designing it, he seemed to pose the question "what would design be without humor?" Nearly thirty years after the Aarnio Pony was introduced, a new bird popped up to keep him company- the Tipi. After all, what goes for the Pony goes hand in hand for his bird friend; in keeping with Aarnio's playful philosophy he's quoted as saying "a seat does not necessarily have to be a chair!" Tipi is constructed of a metal shell covered by an upholstered molded foam body.  We are happy to provide fabric swatches on request.
