MODERNICA Case Study Chair
This outstanding lounge chair is influenced by the designs of George Nelson as part of the Case Study program (1949), sponsored by John Entenza, editor and publisher of Arts and Architecture magazine. The program commissioned major architects of the day including Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames and Eero Saarinen, to design and build inexpensive and efficient model homes for the residential housing boom developing. The Case Study line of furnishings has been brought back to life by L.A. based Modernica. This lounge chair features a hardwood frame, hand-tied steel coil springs and handsome chrome plated legs. We will be happy to mail swatches on request.
