EMECO Heritage Rocking Chair

For all his notoriety, Phillipe Starck's work remains a serious and important expression of 20th century creativity. One thing that makes him unique is his habit of 'reworking' earlier decorative styles, and such is the case with the Heritage Collection for Emeco. Starck has melded his personality to the classic 1006 Navy Chair (circa 1944), and the result is a modern tribute to an Emeco legacy. The Heritage Rocker is constructed of lightweight thermal aluminum, and it's life expectancy is 150 years.
