Norman Cherner is recognized as one of the most original of a generation of designers that explored post-war technological innovations in industrial design and architecture. Although best known for his work with furniture, his designs also included graphics, lighting, glassware and a pioneering contribution to pre-fabricated housing.  Cherner Chair Company is now reissuing furniture from his original drawings and specifications.  The quality and affordability of his original designs are made possible by combining the latest fabrication technology with the same craftsmanship used since the items were first introduced.  Cherner Chairs and stools are available with upholstered seat pads. The seat pads can be ordered (COM) or in Spinneybeck leather, and can be specified with a seat and back pad or seat pad only.

 

Seat = one piece molded plywood, beech core laminations with face veneers in beech or walnut.
