KARTELL Miss Trip Chair
Phillipe Starck, 1996
Philippe Starck is best known for his humorous forms and his bizarre,
often disingenuous public pronouncements. His modern designs are
unmistakable - saucy amoebic minimalism with a revealing irreverent twist. Kartell technology allows for a harmonious combination of two materials which are by their nature incompatible: plastic and wood. The Miss Trip chair has a plastic seat supported by legs in beech or dyed cherry. These are fixed by a special patented lock mechanism which avoids the need for screws or tools. The backrest is also grafted onto the seat by a simple application of pressure, and the natural elasticity of the material offers a pleasant sensation of comfort. Miss Trip, ideal for any setting in the home, as well as for restaurants and cafe, features an elegant design and easy assembly.
