B-LINE 4/4 Quattro Quarti
Rodolfo Bonetto was born in Milan, Italy in 1929 and died in 1991. He established his own office in 1958 and designed furniture, cars, and electronic appliances. In 1982 he was commissioned by Fiat to assist in the company's rescue, producing a new interior design for cars, which became an instant hit. Rodolfo preferred complex designs and developed numerous products for markets all around the world. Quattro Quarti was featured at "Italy, The New Domestic Landscape": Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1972. With his 4/4, sections identical to each other make up the design, a versatile
practical table made of injection-moulded ABS plastic. Thanks to the
use of inserts (also made of ABS) the sections can be stacked on top of
each other to create a modular bookcase. By joining the elements together in a number of different ways, circular or undulating tables can be created. (White, orange and red are solid shades, purple is semi-transparent).
