Werzalit is a patented manufacturing process,
developed by Werzalit AG
& Co. of Germany. Their process combines wood, resins and melamine
to produce a unique high tech composite. Melamine is so scratch
resistant that it is used in dinnerware, ashtrays and other products
that must stand up to hard use and repeated scrubbing. Stubborn stains
can be removed with household cleaners and light rubbing with steel
wool. Designed by Marco Ferreri for Magis. Base is manufactured in
treated steel plate with grey thermoplastic rubber cover; top in
Werzalit.
