Marcel Wanders, 2003
Marcel Wanders is an independent industrial product designer operating out of Amsterdam where he has his own studio. Marcel won the
Rotterdam Design Prize for his iconic Knotted Chair, as well as
several other awards including the George Nelson Award (Interiors magazine)
and Alterpoint Design Award 2000. Marcel continues to work on diverse products (and projects) for such companies as Cappellini,
Mandarina Duck, Magis, Droog Design and Moooi, where he is associated as Creative Director. His whimsical Flare Table has legs composed of transparent polycarbonate and can be adorned with a selection of plastic-coated art paper. Tabletop is MDF with a white polymeric cover.
